Winstead Grocery Closes

Small-independent Grocery stores are rare today, especially on the east coast. Last week Winstead Grocery in Bunn, NC, closed it's doors. This store sold many items needed in the kitchen and around the house. It also sold some local produce and farm raised meats. Now, the only remaining grocery in this small town is the large corporate company, Food Lion.
Shopping at small business's, mom n' pop stores, is just one part of having a sustainable economy, having control of where are products and food comes from, and supporting our community.
